Performance Level Of An Exceptional Trader

I hope you have not longed indices joe? i've just shorted Dax at 7163,
Looks like it won't break above 7200 in the next 24 hours but is more likely to hit my TP of 7043

Support / resistance / round numbers / new low memories making it easier to touch that level in the near future etc...

Also the Dow is always taken in to account and checked out before any trades are placed on any of the indices

Still 100 points to go yet bud, although it would prematurely close if i had reason too... this may be an over night trade if it doesn't move down big in the next 4 hours, i love and hate overnight trades, i love it when i wake up to a nice blue number and i hate it when i wake up to "no open positions" (n)

Lets hope for the best with this one :)

Joe, the only bottom that's gonna be found is yours. Found by the big, gay, horny market.

The market will not be satisfied till it's probed deeeeeeeeep into that bottom, really tested its limits.

If you wanna keep trading this way, you need to lube up boy.

Thats why averaging down is a bad idea.

When a trade is going against you, I would wait for exit signal or until stopped out.
Less than 5% ish of my exits are SL reliant, so that leaves exit signal.

I would rather exit for a small loss and reverse / re-enter, instead of taking that same small loss and exit signal
as a cue to potentially increase that loss...
Averaging down will burn you sooner or later as its dependent on a reversal.
No reversal and you're screwed.

Oh I read your TP wrong what an idiot I am!

I wouldn't like to hold that overnight from there. Market is 'usually' quiet overnight and the opening hour is just a gamble?
 
@ Pazienza... Agreed i once averaged down and was 100% adamant i was right so kept topping up,

The above was swiftly followed by me seeing £2500 disappear from my screen O_O

I prefer Dax to all of the Indices now and tbh the nights can be quite busy, sometimes up to 80pts moves... holding overnight is not the cleverest of ideas but its not with the same size'd lott i'd do on a day trade when after 10-15 points... i think that the only reason it bounced back up from todays low was because it bounced off 7000, i think it has room to go back down some

Thats a maximum of 1.2% per year and banks are offering more than that....

And lol don't get the viagra bit, i'm 25 not 65 :cheesy:
