Can someone help me understand the current break-out? I can't see where the optimisim is coming from and I am bearish on the whole but got whipsawed by this recent move,

my thoughts are, that i should not trade, i have had my worst week ever and today is Friday 13th.

i had my base ball bat out again last night, smashed myself silly!!!

anythingupside is going to meet resistance at 4300-4330 where we made our last highs. if you take a look at a hour chart there is a short term ascending triangle so a break out of this is possible?

here is an hourly and daily chart, there is a short term and longer term pattern.
The hourly chart shows an ascending triangle, also you can see the tripple to the highs have made.
The daily chart shows a longer term ascending triangle and what looks like an even longer term symmetrical one too.

Morning gents, I had a miserable day too due to lunatic impulse trading. Thought I'd get it out of my system. Sensible trades only today.

Moved S/L to 4270. Think it's broken the top of the triangle now.

Good trade - had a sell order in at 4293, just didn't quite get filled argh! Got a second monitor yesterday, a big 24 inch job - it makes a *huge* difference.

It's probably worth IMO keeping an eye on the Dax as that is hovering around a big number - 4500
