I currently have positions in UK stocks with slm and due to the recent Market sell off it looks like I'll be holding those positions for a while. The name change has worried me slightly, do you think Iam safe holding the positions for possibly years.

Glad to see the spread reductions. I was wondering if there will be a reduction in the after hours spread on the ftse 100. Currently it's 1.5, I really think it should stand at 1. A lot of providers now offer the same spread from 8:00am till 9:00pm.

The chart of the ftse stopped moving at 3:30 when the ism number was released, one large gap of about 50 points. Terrible day for slm.

I was wondering why the spread increases on the ftse 100 to 1.5 after 4:30. Many companies like capital keep one spread from 8:00am to 9:00pm. Also are positions rolled over at 4:30 or anything like that?

support and resistance is your best tool. Create zones instead of single lines and create clusters with pivot points.

Everyone talks about how fundamental volume is to price action but i cant see to find anything which measures it accurately. I cant seem to find any consist patterns or things to watch for in the standard volume histogram. Has anyone found a way to see if volume is decreasing in retracements...

The people here who trade support and resistance zones, how do you determine if price will actually move away once it has hit it. Currently the only thing that works for me are candles, which work perfectly sometimes and other times completely fail.

I am looking to day trade UK shares however struggling to find a company with lower commision rate. Stocks such as buying 1000 BHP share will cost about £22 to get in and then £22 to get out, including the spread that about £50 before i even see any profit. Any suggestions?
