ordinaryguy76 started this thread Week 2 summary.
Excellent week for this system - 100% hit rate. My own results were worse, mainly because of moving stop loss too quickly. Something that I did not intend to do, but watching trades live makes me do it.

Monday 05/12
P/L according to theory (approx) : 130 pips
P/L actual: 147 pips
Reason for difference: SL moved to +150 and stopped out mid day.

Tuesday 06/12
P/L according to theory (approx) : 4 pips
P/L actual: 61 pips
Reason for difference: closed 20 min early, because candles looked really bad.

Wednesday 07/12
P/L according to theory (approx) : 24 pips
P/L actual: 52 pips
Reason for difference: first trade stopped out @ +1. Lucky 2nd trade in the afternoon.

Thursday 08/12
P/L according to theory (approx) : 258 pips
P/L actual: 49 pips
Reason for difference: SL moved to +50, unnecessary.

Friday 09/12
P/L according to theory (approx) : 194 pips
P/L actual: 49 pips
Reason for difference: Again, SL moved to +50, unnecessary.

Theoretical weekly profit: 610 pips.
Actual weekly profit: 358 pips.

Much better than week 1, but that's just not good enough !
In the long run, I am expecting bad weeks or even months. In order to remain profitable overall, I have to take full profits. It will not work otherwise.

£5 lost due to rolling transactions.
Current balance: £10448.11 and one open trade @ +11 (total £10459.11).

Need to stick to this single rule:
If trade in profit around 170-180 pips, move stop loss to +150 pips.
DO NOT MOVE STOP LOSS TO +50 or +100 !!!
Might consider +1, depending on situation. Nobody likes winners turning into losers.

ordinaryguy76 started this thread wasn't too bad yesterday 11pm, but -70 pips now. Wondering whether my stop loss will be hit outside of S&P trading hours.

ordinaryguy76 started this thread stopped out while on lunch (typical) for -151, but my opposite trade did not trigger yet.
Unfortunately, it's still outside of trading hours. Possibly no more trading for today.
Account valuation: £10,294.78.

Re: DEMO Semi-automated S&P daily trading system

ordinaryguy76 started this thread I think I might have made a bit of a mistake here. My latest trade was opened @ 1258.3, because I was late for 9 pm. Price around 9 pm was something like 1254.5, so my initial stop loss shold have been 1239.5, not 1243.3. Trade would have been still open. Opposite order should be set to @ 1238.5 possibly, not 1242.3.
I've amended opposite order to:
Sell order 1 S&P500 @ 1238.5, SL 1253.5
