Which indices do this regularly?

Can anyone tell me which indices take on the scenario whereby if one goes up it causes the other to go down simultaneously and vice versa for the converse situation?

Examples would be greatly appreciated.

I would also be interested in this. Markets continue to correlate with each other more and more, and the notion of wide scale diversification is becoming less and less meaningful. For a person who seeks to hedge returns, it's becoming difficult to find different markets to invest in unless a person takes up the act stock shorting.
