What is the biggest advantage a retail trader has over an institional trader?

You get to keep 100% of the profits, and you don't need to pay tax if you ever win from the bucket shop.

Maybe ret traders can blame statistics when they fail and not feel bad about themselves (as more than 90% fail)?

Small size per trade thus allowing you to trade at any price without affecting liquidity or causing adverse selection

Is it that we have access to all the great resources and methods that retail trading has to offer?

As a retail 'trader', I find the advantage to be that I could switch from trading to gambling any time I wanted.

Is it that the KYC process is really simple and only involves talking to yourself in a mirror?

Is it not being sent to jail for insider trading, on the grounds of having no inside info?
(no super win trades either :()

Is it the ability to fund and withdraw from your trading account by a credit card ?!

surely its gonna be something to do with the independence of thought or something, some bull**** they would tell you on a course. like "the ability to be independent from whatever others are doing."
