Mandela cannot be blamed for the state of South Africa today. He overthrew or, at least, was the figurehead for the black people who overthrew aparteid. He was racist inasmuch as he opposed a white, very racist, regime. I was in Capetown, Durban and Mozambique in 1954. There was no doubt, in my mind, about white racism there. Mozambique was worse. Whatever Mandela did wrong, I forgive him for.

Some of the Stern gang became government leaders in the the Israeli parliament.

Jerry Adams and McGuiness became MP's after the peace agreement in Ireland. If they were not terrorists I've no understanduing of the word. Terrorists are not called that if their side wins. Then they are heroes.
