VM Fusionware 3.0...anyone use it..?

my experience is way out of date - maybe eight years ago I used VMWare on a Linux laptop and Win98 or Win NT as guests. It did the job for me just fine (Access to exchange server for mail, and MS Office and Visio).

I would think that VMWare has moved forward a long way since then, and should be a pretty safe bet for what you want.

Sun's VirtualBox seems to be attracting something of a following and is free. Not sure about OSX support but you might like to check it out.

Many thanks...

My understanding about this one is that it has come long way now....So probably will give it a go and install Win 7 Ultimate as well....

Here I was, saying no more bloody windows on my Mac.....but there you are, will have to install it now...!

...This is interesting.....I was going to purchase the package from Apple, but from what you have indicated is that it is available for free.....!....I wonder if Apple is selling this with tweaks, but then they will run into flak with Sun for 'modifications' to their package....

I ned to check this one out....In the meantoime I have downloaded the package....

I will ring Apple for further information

Well I have installed VMWare Fusion 3 and Windows 7 Ultimate on MacBookPro 17in with faster drive and 8Gb of memory....

I think it is probably the best of the world to have Mac OS and Windows sitting side by side without having to reboot when you jump from one to the other....

Does anyone use this set up...It would be useful to se if here are any issues that come to light...
