Hi All,

I hope everyone is well!

I intend to start trading US futures using Ninjatrader but unsure of the "US-side" taxes (if any).

Does anybody know :

what are the "US-side" tax implications for a non-US-resident, non-US taxpayer trading futures. I am resident and pay taxes in the UK.

I dont need UK side tax advice just if any money is withheld by the broker and / if I need to fill out any forms (such as W-8 form) or other IRS type responsibilties.

Any Help Much Appreciated.

Thanks In Advance

Mark

I believe you will need to fill out a w8ben form as a non-US foreign individual to tell the IRS that your tax reporting on any US income will be done in the UK. Until you do that, the US based broker may not release any money for transfer to your Uk bank.
