tv SCREENER.png

TradingView screener.
How do I

1) switch to the chart for an instrument
2) Increase the screener text size

Online help says "click the settings button". Where is it!

This is the free version, Chrome. .
(Just noticed the screen shot tool included the little panel centre top for the screen shot tool, odd.)

Hi cara

For the chart simply right click the instrument and from the popup select chart. edit - on reviewing your pic vs mine you look to be in chart mode rather than screener mode, I don't believe you can do as suggested in that mode. if you need to pull charts from a screener start here https://www.tradingview.com/screener/ and not from the screener at the bottom of a chart page, hope that makes sense.

For size of font, as can be seen from my screenshot and as a bit of a magoo myself, I have set the browser zoom to 125% looks ok to me at that.
But you do obviously lose more info off the end the larger the zoom, but easy to scroll left/right to see it. I have T2W set at 150%

chart mode rather than screener mode
Errrr... ! Baffled - modes??! I'll search on that.
Presumably you can switch between modes.

I know that if you Google TradingView Screener you get one where you can't select 5 minute, 15 minute etc columns. Pay, they say for sub one day.
CTRL-scroll works in your mode, too. It's just for the odd number or word which is illegible so that will do.

Tradingview contines to be a mystery.
On one screen it says you have to pay for intraday preiods., then you find they're free, etc etc.

What's going on here?
At first look, the numbers look like absolute garbage.

But the "symbols" aren't familiar
I don't know what it's looking at, to get all those silly returns.
Am I missing something or is it just a pile of....???

ALso the ten second refresh, even turned off, disturbs use of the computer. A Firefox thing I think, it'll close a drop-list selection box while you're trying to use it, and so on. I turned hardware acceleration off, it's not that.

the symbols are from the market you choose..if i look at the screener i can change my market. If i change to the UK for example, they're all viable symbols
not knowing what market you've selected, its hard to know if they're familiar..mine seem fine

as for the numbers..performance. I do agree with you..I look at the first one in my list and check where it was 12 months ago. i get 17% change from last year (vs18.9% above), and a 33% change from 5 years (vs 20% above)..so they're not "silly" thats for sure but i cant "reconcile" them if that makes sense. even weekly, whether trading view was using 7 days, 5 working days etc i dont know, but still doesnt come to TVs performance. 1 day ago, spot on..like i say not silly but equally not precise. I'm use ROC to identify performance.
as for computer issues...i know we've been here before and you know my thoughts but i have none of the issues you have. no refresh issues regardless of browser
I've just looked for a performance indicator and these numbers dont agree to the screener yet they are performance numbers. not a million miles away but id have trouble believing the screener for sure

Thanks
I don't see which numbers you're referring to - 17%,18%
Your table looks credible though
For "silly" I'm referring to eg Microsoft 244% over 1, 3 and 6 months.
Geog filter is USA + UK, Those tickers come up if you add UK. I don't know what they are,
It has a London code for Microsoft, there's some sort of holding in London-? But at $2Bn plus?

I have trouble getting the same screen twice., but what I want is intraday, which it can't seem to decide whether to show or not..

I think I'll have a better look at Finviz...!

Thanks

I was just comparing from the screener to the actual chart itself..- 18.76% from the screener whereas the chart of AZN itself was saying -17% for 1 year performance. just to see where its taking its numbers from. 1 year in days, weeks, months etc could make a difference but just cant tally, even weekly as i say.

i only looked at a few of yours, i looked at RGC and its 1 year performance was 24k (the chart) which again doesn't look that odd given its price movement in the month.
i tried your filter of 10bn + market cap at RGC is there with 24k performance

i definitely cant see all of your stocks however even searching for them
