does anyone know of a PC desktop clock that is reliable and gives the official time? I have been using the clock on Time.gov which is great, but it crashes about 50 times a day and I have to keep refreshing the page...its becoming a pain in the neck.

any suggestions much appreciated

You could try downloading the atomic clock syncronisation program free from:

http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_download.asp?fid=16627&fileidx=1

This will automatically syncronise your computer clock once a day.

Hi

the split second accuracy of my PC's clock is not something that I had considered.

Have downloaded and installed the free edition of an atomic clock - rockettime - from http://www.rocketsoftware.com/portfolio/rockettime/free.htm - as suggested by JonnyT and it works well. My PC was 15.3 seconds fast last night. Ten hours later it is 1.3 seconds fast - so it is a worthwhile trading aid - especially around economic news releases - :-0 .

I love precision tools!

My PC clock has just gained 1.2 seconds in 1.5 hours. Best set rockettime to update/correct the time automatically every 2 hours.
