Been using Metastock for a number of years now, but find that getting help from them is a bit scratchy and at times nobody has come back to me at all, so I am not sure I will be upgrading.
Anybody used both systems and what are your views?

I used sharescope a few years ago and frankly it was a load of utter balls. Might have changed now, but back then I would have paid not to have it.

I think it may have changed in recent years from what I have read. anybody care to comment on the current version.

What are you using at the moment Phantom?

I use sharescope pro and love it. Everything under one roof .Hugely comprehensive ( if you read the help). Takes a while to set up and learn but its worth it.
Always easy to get help from their free phone service

Thanks Tom
I have just received their intro pack to have a look at.
It seems that the Plus package would suit my trading. I may possibly run it next to metastock and see how I get on

Thanks mate

If you go for it--please mention my account and we both get a free month- 226988 thanks

I've used ShareScope virtually since it was launched and moved up from Gold to Plus some years back.

Support, imo, is the best there is, anywhere, for any financial software I've seen or used.

As I deal in international stock markets, bonds and futures, data feed is the achilles heel of this fast, accurate, beautifully constructed platform for me. There's a Import Data function which I struggle with without much success, so am obliged at present to update OHLCV daily data manually for such exchanges as Hong Kong.

If your interest is mainly UK stocks and are happy with 15-min delayed intra-day prices, I reckon it's ace.

I am changing from Metastock too. Just use the charts a bit.
I looked at MT4 and Ninjatrader and decided on the latter as it uses C# which is well known. MT4 is some sort of Russian thing and MT5 has bad write ups.

Thanks for your input guy's

I trade exclusively the FTSE and rely heavily on technical analysis, so it seems that I would be well catered for with ShareScope. I have yet to try out their demo. I will try and make some time this week

Had a chat to the guy's at Sharescope. and am going down to their office in London for a days training on the 18th. Seems the trading seminars are new.

Look forward to it.

Dave

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have been in my sick bed for a few weeks with a virus, thankfully now on the mend.

I went down to London and attended the course (not on the 18th as the trains to Liverpool street where cancelled for most of that day).

I was very impressed with the course and presentation which was given by Phil and lasted from 10am until 1530pm.I can highly recommend it.

I will be working on the demo for a while but will get in touch with you (tommac) when I decide to go live.

Regards

Dave

I definately would NOT be happy with a 15 min delay. My present SB has free ( but limited ) charts with real time.
What are Sharescope's costs ?

if you are serious about stocks then just pay the dosh and be done with it .
Pro--Live prices is £96 pm worth every penny. its way more than just a price feed
