Trading is a personal journey and the rules that make up your trading style /edge /method /madness will be all yours alone in the end.

There is no definitive answer to any single question so the purpose IMO is to discuss ideas and inevitably end up with what suits you.

Seems some want to define the best way. The definitive. It just can't happen as no 2 peoples goals / styles / risk tolerance will be the same...

Funny to watch sometimes though! 😆

chaps you are missing my point. I am in complete agreement with what you are saying. My niece told me not long ago that I have the most boring job ever just sitting there, 'watching my line'.

Here's the one I ask myself --- why the hell do I want to convince these "others" especially when I don't know more than one or two of them from a bar of soap, and never will.

- "...I wanted to preach Financial Armageddon"

- "...I wanted to tell the world I had found a system that no one else found before which makes millions without one losing trade in 302 trades"

- "...I was looking for a place that shared my esoteric beliefs that the moon influences the stock market (or was it the other way around?)"

- "...I was looking for those other 95% losing traders"

- "...I got banned on another forum"

- "...I am not a vendor, but I'll try to sell something anyway"


Note: all of the above are recent observations why people come to T2W, not my personal motives...
