Hey all, this is my first post and was wondering if i could get some insight. I am 19 and have been looking for the right path to follow for my career for at least 3 years now and have finally choosen trading. I strive for excellence and am becoming more desciplined, having been studying for my career over the last year. I hated high school and swore one day i would return rich, so i made a promise to become the best, and am now looking for an intership. Now my question is this at the age of 27 or 28 is it possible to have a well established trading career and be rolling in the big money? I want more then anything to roll up to my 10 or so year High School reunion in a lamborghini, 3 peice suite, looking like the essence of glory. Just was wondering If there was anyone out there that had lived my story?

You might look a bit daft carrying a 3 piece suite into your reunion, go for an arm chair instead.

You can all take the P**s but you've obviously mis understood what he wants..

I see exactly how he wants to turn up to that special re-union and if I had the money I'd do the same...

You could hire the Lambo for the day & I don't suppose anyone would know the difference.

I think you have clear self esteem issues which, once addressed, will make you want to turn up for your reunion in plain dress by taxi cab with the quiet knowlege that your Lambo's are tucked up safely in the 5 car garage back home at your mansion.:smart:

Its an excellent ambition. Contrary to whay many so-called wiser heads will tell you, wealth is an excellent objective in life, and may be the one to aim for first, then it will be easier and more fun for you to achieve the others. I wish you sincere good luck.

Hi Jib80,
I agree with tomortons sentiments.
As your just 19, I would recommend you purchase and read ' The Richest Man in Babylon ' by George S Clason ISBN 0-451-16520-9 its a paperback. Read it repeatedly until you almost know it by heart and mark it up with comments and notes.

At 19 years old, please, please live by his words:

"Ten percent of all you earn is yours to keep".

From the heart,
Neil

If the wealth is to be obtained by trading, then the objective is not the wealth but to trade well. If that objective is reached, the wealth is an effortless byproduct.

jib80, that is TOP advice, why not print it out and stick it on your monitor frame?

This advice in my opinion is nailed on. Go in to this focusing on Jets, Mansions and Lamborghinis you will lose the shirt off your back. Go in to this focusing on discipline, restraint and gaining trading knowledge the other material items will follow.

Hi jib80,

dbphoenix post is spot on.

Hang around T2W and learn as much as you can.

Very Best Wishes,
Neil

jib80 - I also recommend that you read the Napolean Hill's classic "Think an Grow Rich". In the book he suggests that you get really clear about what you want, how much, by when etc (i.e. the money and the lambo) AND that you define what you'll do in return (be specific about your trading) - and that each day you refocus the power of your intention on what you want and how you'll get it.

You see, Dbpheonix's advice is GREAT ADVICE - and there's a little piece missing. You can learn to trade well and if in the deepest part of your being you don't believe that you deserve the money, or even that you really want it (your folks may have drilled into your subsconscious that you should be a priest!!) then you aren't going to keep what you make.

So my advice to you is do what DBpheonix says first and foremost AND be clear about what you want to attract to you in terms of financial success.

Good Luck! (y)
