A new nano-technology laboratory opened its doors in Rancho Cordova on Thursday night.

The lab will be utilizing nano-circles, which are small delivery vehicles that can slip into cells and deliver specific genetic information used to repair DNA.
The future of the tech industry in Sacramento was also discussed Thursday night.
Intellectual resources, the quality of life and office space are some of the reasons more tech business is expected to come to the area.
"This area right around us is a really a burgeoning place for cutting-edge companies to come and locate," Sarad said.
