Hi, is anyone interested in getting together and sharing an office with other professional stock traders in the London area. Have contacted a number of trading arcades but none seem to offer US stock trading, just futures.

Would be keen to meet up/hear from other stock traders. Do you just trade from home or does anyone already share an office in London?

Hi, Global Exchange Trading (www.globalexchangetrading.com) is based in Essex about an hours commute from Liverpool Street. As well as financial futures we have a team of equity traders day trading LSE Equities and are currently in the process of connecting to the US Exchanges. Please call Richard or Steve on 01206 795099 to see if we can help.

Cheers Dickie,

Was really hoping to join an office somewhere in the City (or set one up if sufficient interest from other traders), as is less than 15 mins commute for me.

Ideally somewhere where I can continue trading with InteractiveBrokers, but would be happy to use another clearing firm is commissions were similar or better.

Thanks anyway for the info, will obviously be in contact if I cannot find anything suitable a bit nearer to home.

Hi Sam

I understand your reluctance to commute. I left The City after twelve years for the same reasons.

GET is experienced in setting up remote offices and operates a voice link up between all our sites for communication purposes. Our equity traders whether they be Colchester based or remote, access the LSE market directly via a Fortis VPN or leased line. Due to our volumes we enjoy a competitive fee structure from Fortis (for equities) and Man Financial (for futures). Our equity traders trade via RTS (www.rtsgroup.net) and use Squawker (www.squawker.com.cy) to listen to correlated markets trade (Dow, FTSE, DAX, Copper, Oil etc). They use Proquote and CQG for charts (www.proquote.net ) (www.cqg.com). Subject to due diligence we would be happy to consider a remote office to provide the above services for you personally or consider a larger scale operation if you know of other traders looking for a home.

Hi there Sam

I am thinking of setting up an office in the city whereabouts for similar like minded US stock traders. Home is more of a distraction to me so would be good to get out. Rent and travel costs are irrelevant as think I would be far more profitable if trading somewhere else other than home.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi Lee
I have a team of propietary equity traders in Colchester and several remote traders elsewhere. Please read my reply to Sam from earlier today. Perhaps GET can help you/both? If you would like to discuss anything please call Richard or Steve on 01206 795099. Good luck
Regards
Richard

Lee,

I agree that trading from home can be a distraction, especially as US markets mean trading into the evening. Also, a trading office would be far more sociable.

Rent is not an issue for me either. Have spoken with Richard and he is going to get back to me with some details.

Anyone else interested?

Update

Ok, there are currently 2 of us who are going to go ahead with this. We have looked around a number of offices in the London Bridge/Cannon St area and estimate costs will be around £500/month each (all inclusive). If anyone else is interested in joining us then please let me know. Ideally it would be great to get a group of 4 or 5 together to bring costs down and create a more fun/sociable environment.

Please PM me for more info.

Hi I'm actually looking for empty trading offices/desks for hire for about one or two weeks.

I'm a film producer and I'm filming a series of web episodes which will feature a trading office.

Does anyone know anywhere I can start looking at all?

Hi Guys
Any trading offices in the sussex area.

I thought the idea of trading was to get away from the Rat-Race of commuting etc.

Must be missing something.

Can I ask how this is going for you? I'm thinking of doing something similar in Australia and would like to know what the demand is like for this sort of thing.

Thanks very much, Richard

Hi, Global Exchange Trading (GlobalExchangeTrading.com | A macro fundamental and technically biased proprietary trading company) is based in Essex about an hours commute from Liverpool Street. Hi Richard,

I know this post is from a few years back, but I am considering the idea of setting up a trading arcade in Glasgow. Would you guys still beinterested in offering a link into the office if I can get 4/5 traders together? What kinda Comm split rates would you be looking for? Obviously loads of questions...so if its something you may be interested in give me a shout.

cheers

Maybe I would be interested. I used to live in London, Now I am in Madrid.

I am going back to London the next month.

Anyone know how much cots a Bloomberg terminal?

I am devoloping a US portfolio that it uses quantitave system.

Thanks

Hi Miguel,
I am based in London. I trade US equities in an office a share with 3 other traders. Let me know when you'll be in London... maybe you could come by the office to visit it and meet us. We would like to meet other traders that trade the US market.

I think a Bloomberg terminal costs about 1000-2000 US$ per month.
Esignal could be a cheaper alternative. Depending of the services you need, you'll pay between 200-350 US$ per month.

cheers

Louis

HiMM,

Hope all is well... Do you ever find space available. I'm looking for 2 desk spaces within a professional trading environment we are both ex city guys running PA money.

Please let me know what works.

Best regards and thank you.

Shane
