We gone through some important resistance levels today so I think more selling pressure to come on the FTSE/WallSt. I've been waiting for some panic selling in the indices - and we may finally have it now. Then we can enjoy a rally...

Weak resistance at 5100 ish but any bad news (like a bailout of F & F Mae) and I don't see any reason it won't crash through 5000.

Remember the JP offer of Bear Stearns was originally $2 - wouldn't be suprised to see another ridiculous bailout.

the dow is pretty calm at 11000. if i crashes through that, we are in some deep deep equity trouble. but i agree with the panic selling.. freddie at 4 dollars seems like an amazing buy. other stocks are getting rediculously cheap. this is where some panic buying can really cause a major move up... time will tell. i wonder if spanish is still able to afford the electricity to run his computer. i hope so..

I don't know if you've heard of Northern Rock. "Victim" of the credit crunch. Price dropped to 300. Lots of people bought shares. It's cheap, they said... then it dropped to 72. Went up to 250, then down to 150... now suspended. UK PLC owns them.

yea i had a look at the stock on yahoo... thats a crazy chart. thats something like a blind guy walking off the top of a cliff. thats painful. im presuming it didnt decide to do a stock split.

So summary for the end of the day, after being down -£573 by the afternoon for trying to catch the pullback too early by short oil with a stoploss, so got taken out n lost my money.

I then traded it back, even though i kept faling asleep since id maxed the 40hours awake n trading mark,
and managed to end the day from being down £573 to ending up £11!!

I wish i had bought Fannie mae cos it was up almost 300points from when i said buy, i was going to buy but had no free capital, do had to just buy on my virtual account.

I bought ftse futures at the low point for teh day, and its up 50points now and rising, especially if oil continues to drop liitle over weekend.


I am stuck in anotehr oil trade short though from 142.89, and then feel asleep, but i didnt drop below that anyways. :confused::(

The things thats concerning n upsetting me alot about it that even though its not a bad short since there will be anotehr pullback sometime during next week that will go below it, my trade closes on the 14th july, so monday!! :confused::(:cry:

So i am now contrained by time, which is extremely problematic, as if use time on my side ot my advantage normally.. :confused:


But lets just hope oil drops to the 39/41 over weekend. :D:)
 
Bloody hell!! I'd be getting no sleep if I did all that "gambling" and won a lousy 11 quid!

You probabaly arent consistently making decent money trading mate if you view it as a sorta gambling circuit, and your stoploss is your 'bet stake', and the profits you make are you winnings...:!: :LOL::whistling


I view the market as what it is though, a market where i buy and sell contracts, and hold them till they become profitable for me so i can shift them off, or if i dont think they will become profitable for a long time just get rid of them as quick as possible.



ive been consistnetly making between £60 t £552 per day, everyday of trading for the last 2 t 3weeks now.
Ive had a few big days, and had 1 very bad day where i panicked and so made foolish mistake sof closing trades for very big losses for no reason..

But ive been making consistent profit everyday taht i am very happy with.


Today i knew the oil pullback was coming, i just jumped in too early on 1 of my trades lastnight, and since i didnt have much free capital i used a stoploss and so lost my money, and at 1 point lost almost all my gains from the week...

But so then i just kept wait and watching for the top level to form and then made quite a few very nice trades to gain back all my losses from earlier, and so even though it was only £11 profit today, i still kept all the proit i had bbeen making consistently everyday of the week!! :LOL::cheesy::LOL:



You can claim you also made lots consistent money everyday mate.., but like i said unless you post screenshots here of last 2weeks trade history its just words n claims, and so i just wont respond sorry.


Goodluck traidng though mate

haha wine is better for your health :) i like the wine.. man i got pushed around so much friday night... i was long 10 contracts in the spi. that was something very painful to watch. glad you went ok spanish :) that was definitely a day when many went broke...

I was just unlucky that i darted into oil lastnight, but i knew it was a big risk, i should haven been more patient though. :confused:


I feel very woundup about the loss i took on ftse, cos i remember a few days ago i was swanning around like a right smug *bleep* with this idea in my mind i would invest in thse ftse and retire that day or something and ride of into the sunset and live my life out on an exotic beach all due to my longterm investment.. :LOL::LOL::whistling

Guess shouldnt have ben drinking while on my sb. :LOL:

haha i didnt end up losing anything. markets opened in my favour. gained a just under 2k. ive been liquidating for the last hour (i use a scaling approach to position liquidation). pretty happy, but so tired. didnt get any sleep again this weekend. and uni starts again :( bah. rant is over now lol
