Tradition says this cold and dark time of year is for looking inward, reflection, analysis, and planning. Yesterday we took a hacksaw and hiked down the powerline easement until we found a likely specimen, then took it home and tacked it to the wall with a fence staple. (One less tree to mow down come spring!) Last night we 'woke up the sun' with a solstice party. The sun will shine a little longer each day between now and midsummer.
I hope you all get to visit with your extended families, and that everyone goes home before you wish they would. 😉
Happy holidaze!
