It's had a bit of a slide and may soon have a pullback

C'mon guys your views are welcome.
I don't intend to carry this thread solo.

The bottom line is to make money and everything else is secondary.

Too early. RTH only for me.

This time of day you'd be better with FESX, and switch to ES after lunch, surely?

RTH = ?
I like trading the S&P 500 before it opens, seems smoother while the big boys are still asleep maybe

The line AB has now become the new support line

Different opinions I guess. It certainly can be very smooth indeed during the morning, yesterday being a prime example.

But overall I find it much harder to trade. Often good moves are totally reversed once the US gets going, which doesn't suit my preferred management methods.

re: Intra day S&P 500

a. ONH 1368.00, ONL 1356.50
b. NVPOC's at 1364.50 (touched and sold off during lunch) and 1356.75 (seems to be providing support)
c. OAOR to downside, 327k CBAVOL
d. Buyers coming in but am expecting it to stall as intention seems to be trying to take out 56.75 NVPOC
e. Stalling, short, market order at 1358.50 at 14:33 GMT (1) - not a great entry
f. Pushing down now, DOM seems to thin out easily and T&S coming through nicely with sellers
g. Through ONL, seems to be hitting a bit of resistance - buy orders coming through
h. Out, market order at 1356.50 at 14:36 GMT (2)
i. 8 ticks profit before commissions
j. MAE 2 ticks, MFE 14 ticks, exit efficiency 57%
k. Even took a cheeky slapbooby trade too for £13 lol
l. Best trade, this one although could have held for a better exit
m. Today's opera - Louise by Gustav Charpentier
n. Today's coffee - instant gold from sainsbury's

re: Intra day S&P 500

Made my informal target for the month on Friday. Able to take it easy now.

re: Intra day S&P 500

Bless you my child of index future

LOL.

I'm happy with a fairly modest gain - 5% a month is enough to keep body and soul together, although I tend to do rather better than that.

I'm not talking Slapalapooby targets of 300% per trade.
