Can anyone enlighten me, if it is possible, on how I can remove the big old letters across each of my charts?

I am well aware what market I am looking at and really don't need it plastered across the chart!

Its really starting to bug me now! Help!

Options / Edit Preferences / Miscellaneous / Watermark (in the "Show" section - uncheck it).

Should do the trick.

Hi Guys,

I am a big fan of Quotetracker and think that it is a very good charting tool. It does not have all the bells and whistles like the big fee paying services, but in my opinion it is most adequate for daytrading and swingtrading.

Does anyone want to post their layouts for discussion - so that we may all have the opportunity to learn something from each other - the layouts may prompt questions in relation to setting up the parameters in QT.

Good idea CYOF,

I agree with you, I am new to the software but it is much better than I have used before. I recently moved to EFX for FX and had always used metatrader before but the quality of quotetracker surpasses it in many ways. Glad I have switched but still plenty to get my head around.

Hi wasp,

I eventually got my IB demo working for trying out the webtrader access with QT.

I just hope that the live webtrader access is quicker than the demo.

Here is my current layout with QT for trading the YM Futures and the DOW & TRAN stocks.

I am limited to one monitor :( and also can't get access to TWS - which you really need if you are to place some quick daytrades.

I am also in the process of setting up a private group for "Daytrading and Swingtrading using Daily and 5 min Bar Charts" - similar to what I am testing here.

Is there an updated version of Quotetracker available?
My installed version is 3.7.8.a-1

I have always found the charts frustrating. Only a few days back data for intraday charts. Has the chart facility improved?

Hi CYOF,

Heres mine, slightly different to yourself... still discovering half the things available!

Pippppin,

Afraid so, still only 2 days but not too bad IMO. It does me fine but then I use Metatrader to look at the bigger picture then QT for actual entries and exits.

"Anyone know how I can get the upper chart (circled) active?"
Hi Wasp. I only know how to remove and re-activate the charts, which might do it I suppose. View > Edit views... > select "Chart" on right side > click on left arrow > OK. Opposite procedure ( "chart" is now on left side) to re-do.
A lot of mini-charts would use quite a bit of processing power so I removed mine.

Cheers Peto, tried it but to no avail. When i loaded it, one market strated up but nothing from the other 3!?

They really do seem to have a mind of their own...

Are you using MBT navigator for trading forex?

Not sure about forex data in QT, but for stocks the mini charts work all the time.

I have my QT registered via TD Ameritrade - old account which I left active - and you get to save up to 10 days of intraday data. You can also set up an historical chart of the stock to backfeed via you main data feed broker(providing they support historical prices) or one of the free sites - QT used to have a good free integrated historical chart via prophet.net - must check and see if it is still available.

HG,

QT will only work with the sites listed - go to File>Select site for the list:
