I have been using Cantor Index (CI) for some months now and have been happy with there service.
BUT yesterday I put in a short trade with SUNW @4.33 knowing it would drop and was advised that CI may pull back the borrowed shares even if I profit or loose. They said they may do this at anytime subject to there verbal conditions!

Can anyone tell me if this is fair and are they allowed to do this legally.

Your Faithfully,

Kal Gill.

Correct me if I am wrong - but if you are spread betting shares maybe you should think of a direct broker like Interactive Brokers and benefit from a far smaller spread?

i believe this is a problem with any short postions either spread betting or cfd - and they are covering themselves for an eventuallity they cannot control
