option genius

First I want to say I like his site. I am glad that I subscribed after several years of not subscribing. He was upfront with me on my first call to him a few years back and when I got back in the saddle his was one of the sites I wanted to really check out. Next I want to say I do not auto trade him nor do I plan to. I have been a subscriber for about a month this time. I first found his site a couple years ago when he first started it. The site has some good information on it. I agree whole heartedly with his words of caution and words of advice that knowing what you are doing is vital to success. He strongly suggests paper trading his picks for a few months to make sure you understand what you are doing. For me, a one month for $65 was worth the information and to see how his system works. I do not at this time actually trade his picks. That is my choice. Nothing against his picks. My strategy is different than his and he was the first to say it is not what he does. I like to see what he does when things go in the undesired direction. He is actually pretty candid about his wins and losses. He seems to be open about the risks and rewards. He does actually trade his own money. Not just a software trade he then posts. He uses a 10K account to do the trades, so he is not making a ton of money off his trades. The subscription of the monthly fee x number of users is where I would think the real money is. Plus it looks to me that he gets a volume discount from the broker due to the volume of trades his subscribers do through autotrading. So it appears to me that your positions help stabalize his positions and increase his rate of return. A fair deal if you want someone else doing the number crunching and deciding on adjustment timing. That is just how I see the system. Nothing bad, nothing good. Pretty smart actually. His site is full of disclaimers at every turn. some good marketing skills as well. He is a technical/statistical picker by his own admission. I strongly advise really reading his material and taking his advice to NOT trade his picks unless you know what is going on. These are just my initial thoughts. You can get some good advice for a small cost if nothing else. I hope this helps fill in the gaps.

Funny how the two positive recommendations were both by members who just happened to join trade2win on the exact same day that they posted those recommendations, and whose last activity was on the day they joined. Could that be a coincidence that 2 members just happened to join and post on the same day and their only activity was to post favorable feedback about the optiongenius site? What are the odds of that?

Frankly, I was thinking about joining, and thought I would check this board to see if anyone had discussed the optionsgenius site before I joined. Now I'm somewhat suspicious that those recommendations may just be shills.

EDIT: and I've been a member since July of 09, even though this is my first post. The same can't be said about the two that happened to post favorable opinions. They joined on the same day that they posted. Makes me suspicious.

Option Genius Scam?

Scam? I don't think so, but I have been trying to end my membership for 5 months and cannot get a response of any kind from them. They are only charging me $1/month, but will not stop charging even after repeated requests by phone and email to do so. I will be doing a stop payment to my credit union this week and will be reporting them to the BBB online people. I urge caution before getting involved. They do not seem to be able to let people go, no matter how often you ask.
