Online share dealing account, ISA, SIPPS???

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good online share dealing facility? I would like to be able to buy from US and UK stock markets. Also, can anyone explain how ISA and SIPPS investments can be used to maximise my tax free earnings? I can't seem to get my head around any of this...

imho a lot of it depends on your personal circumstances, how you are employed, what tax band you are on and what if any savings/earnings from trading you are currently getting.
