As a new member, allow me to introduce myself I am a full time trader, latterly of long UK equities. My background is equities and derivatives, initially in the broking industry.....
I have recently elected to pursue more derivative strategies and move fairly heavily into forex trading amongst the instruments I look at.
Right now, the vast majority of the trading I do is within ISA (hence long equity) and in a SIPP... only straying into non-tax-efficient accounts when fully invested in the wrappers. I have been with my current broker for ... years (probably too long), however they can no longer meet my requirements with regards instrument choice and cost
THUS, it is time to move.
I would welcome any comment or recommendations with regards SIPP providers and brokers that allow full (preferably direct) access to the juicier end of the investment universe - equity (long/short, so via CFD logically), forex, commodity, futures, indices etc. and not limited to UK - I want to be able to trade US equities as a minimum. Who are you holding your SIPPs with and doing your execution with?
With regards ISA, there is naturally far less felxibility but I would welcome any comments on low-cost direct access dealing for ISA accounts too.
