Im trading the ftse100 and a few uk shares at the min, I started off by buying relatively small amounts of shares last year with my savings and done pretty well 🙂 then I found out about spread betting and thought it sounded interesting and I went from there.
have you got any markets in mind you'd like to trade or done any research at all?

I currently have a full time job but I work shifts so I get plenty of time to watch the market and the one week I am in work during the day I use my iphone to follow the market as much as I can.
I initially got into stocks just to try and make more money with my saving to help fund my house purchase but I find it really interesting and the more I learn about it all the more id like to do it full time.
Are you looking to get into it full time or just spare time?

Good luck and I hope you have been able to or will be able to fund your home purchase soon. I am sure I will begin with stocks. Spread Betting is not allowed in the USA. Since I don't have much experience trading I am going to start out slow and precise. Today, I will open my first trading account with Scottrade. Working on setting up my office and trading/research/tracking log.
