Nice, you enter on the break of what appears to be an ema 10, with the rsi above 50 for long? How do you define your exits?

hi Sang Froid...What I want to do and what I have to do are two different things. I would love to monitor the trade and exit 50% of the lots traded. Then move to break even with a following stop of 25, but I have to go to work and I don't have access to a computer...So I divide it (my stop) by four and make a hard exit at the first target. IF I know that a pair is going into a high volatility session and I'm trading with the days bias I'll subtract the pips already moved by the market and shoot for 50% of what is left of the Atr. That way it still gives me plenty of room for error. But you know what Sang? Seems I leave a lot of pips on the table...I'm trying to fine my way the best I can with my limitations....Any help or suggestions I would love to hear...Thanks for the comments

Regards

I won't be of much help I don't think. Once I'm into an open position I take 50% off at 20 pips, move my stop to b/e. I then look to average up (scale in) by 25% either after pullbacks or if S/R is broken. If my profit target is hit for the day then I start to scale out manually trailing a stop behind the price based on visual cues from the T/F I'm looking at.

Well this is how I do things, it's probably not the 'correct way' of doing things but it seems to be working for me so far :)

Hey Sang I like that method...scale in by 25% after 1st pullback, could be very useful Thank you. Again I'm subject to my day job limits in using that technique but it will be fun to test...Heck I don't plan to work that day job forever...LOL...Awesome input. Thanks again.

I always like to leave a little on the table incase the trend continues, don't like to be left behind, even if it's just a small % of my initial lot size, I just like being able to scale in instead of start afresh.

With regards to the day job, I'm in the same boat my friend. My shift pattern might be slightly better suited to trading, I have two days off in the week plus I either work 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm. Either way I get the morning or afternoon session trading, and I've recently taken a new job in Guernsey which means nice weather, nice views, and nice girls, I'd give it all up in a heartbeat to trade full time tho ;)

Anyway, you seem like you know what you're talking about when it comes to trading, so good luck

This means nothing.
If you want to prove yourself, at least register on Forexdesk.com
This is the site that T2W users are using.

This is a broker account. These are verifiable trades made in real time like it or not. Hell Don't except them I don't care. I don't need to prove myself. This was for Beginner Joe who badgered me in other rooms..My point has been made. If I wish to post in the future I'll use forexdesk.com.

Thanks for your input

The only loser is you, posting some random made up figures (exactly like the never lose again crap) and expect people to believe you.

here's the link to the t2w comp http://www.trade2win.com/boards/t2w-competitions/128848-t2w-forex-contest-week-7-a.html#post1600388

get cracking :)

Thank you for the invitation. I'll keep it in mind. It was never my intention to join a competition, I basically just wanted to say thanks to Dante and Tro for the push in the right direction a couple of years ago. I read both threads from beginning to end. Learned a TON!! of information from this web site. Started trading well just this year after almost 3 yrs. Just Wanted to Give something back to T2W. Somehow got in a twisted mess with Beginner Joe. Lost my cool and tried to prove a point. Sorry about the whole situation. Hope we can be friends.
