I have been trading for a long time now and recently come across a bet called basic bet, which is very interesting. Some of the details of the bet are

The bet is called 'Basic Bet', which is easier to place and is more straightforward than bets offered by our competitors. Instead of basing outcomes on complicated arbitrary spreads between 0 and 100, you simply bet on whether the markets will go up or down within a certain time frame. If you're right, you win.

The problem with these type of bets is the spread is absolutely huge.

Go to BOM and try 2 bets - one FTSE goes higher, the other FTSE goes lower.

So basically you are losing the spread on this bet as one of those will win (unless by extreme bad luck the market ends exactly where it started).

So let's say you bet £10 on either side - how much do you think would be a reasonable spread? Expect to get back £19.50? £19.00?

Try £15.00 - that's a 25% spread...

but one in two odds (blind) of 75% return <----- not be bad if you pick the levels

what are the tf's of the bets? I'm not thinking of doing it I'm just interested.
