need help to start trading s&p emini

Hi,

I have only traded stocks so far and now looking into trading S&P Futures Contract (ticker ES). Could you guide me how to find the following charts/info on Think or Swim platform- VIX, TRIN (Advancers/Decliners), Put/Call Ratio and Volume, for ES Contract before placing a bet in either direction.

Also, do I need to look at any other indicators for trading these contracts on a daily/regular basis ?

Please advise !!

For Thinkorswim platform:

ES= /ES
vix= VIX
trin= $TRIN
tick= $TICK

I don't know if put/call ratios are available on TOS. You can download the options360 platform and check there or better yet, call TDAmeritrade.

FYI - Even if you are ONLY day trading you will have to put up the full exchange margin (approx. $3800), and commissions costs are relatively high. You can negotiate if you do fair volume or if you have already done fair volume with TDAmeritrade with equities/options.
