Nasdaq 100 composition

Hi,

Anyone know where i can get a list of the NDX 100 compilation from 1995 (or whenever it first started). The nasdaq website shows additions/deletions but doesnt show the starting list which kinda doesnt work for me!

Any ideas or anyone can shine the torch on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

A quick Google search pulled up the same info you probably already have.

As a suggestion, does it make sense to work backwards from the current list using the additions/deletions? This should create the original list.

Hi,

Tried the backwards idea but the problem is that the data on the website doesnt actually correspond to what is in the present index composition!! For example, KMart holdins should still be in the index according to the website's historical change data but then the present 100 list doesnt include Kmart??!!

And it was all going so well..!!

Just answered my own question - KMRT changed its symbol to SHLD!
