I introduce this as the recent poll showed a significant number of traders running multiple monitor set ups.
I run a 2 machines x 2 Mons each network on Matrox dual cards. This is fine but doesn't really allow full dual facility in the sense that the monitors can be separated by application.
There is only one taskbar on the primary monitor and it controls what appears on both. I have finally found a solution and suggest you look at it. It works on up to 3 monitors and allows apps to be switched between them. It shows Windows time on both screens but apps like Tclock (for atomic clock synchronisation) only work on the primary monitor
