What is Europe going to do with all these poor refugees and migrants ?

The thousands so far may well not be the end of a steady stream.

The Chief of security estimates there are at least 5.000 jihadis mixed in amongst them. The average European would not be able to spot them probably. So money has to be spent housing and feeding them.

I think it is essential that the European Govts. actively get them geared up to go home. The males 16 to 70 are trained up militarily to accomplish this. With discussion about democracy etc. The chances are they will turn to their persecutors if they are not channelled into something positive and cost twice as much in damage.

I think as Putin said this is the start of another cold war.

See it lasting a good 10-20 years.

See Russia diminishing in its authority and aspirations too. Hasn't learnt its lesson in Afghanistan as Syria will drain its currency and resources.

Essad will sooner or later die and a shed storm will appear trying to hold Syria together.

As for the migrants they will be trained and either made to work or used as assets in the area to be used against Iraq / Iran / Turkey in due course to keep them in check.

In return Europe and the West will effectively guarantee their energy supplies for the next 50 years or so.

A refugee has every right to flee war in his/her own country and we have a moral duty to help them in a humanitarian way into the first region / country where they can walk or drive to a border station. To my mind, a Syrian refugee in Turkey is a refugee but if he/she tries to enter Greece they're an economic migrant.

They're out of the war zone in Turkey and I don't mind contributing to their welfare needs but I don't see why they should be fast-tracked into the UK or anywhere else (barring eventually back to a peaceful Syria).

Reported, all propaganda with differing numbers. One thing is for sure is the theme of all these reports tend to be bias to some degree.

True, everybody has their own agenda.

We might not know where people started their journey from, but nobody getting into Dover can claim to be a refugee from France - there's no war in France.

This will add to dumbing down of education. Read somewhere, trade A in GCSE now would only fave been a C in the 60s.
