Long Dated Binary Bets on BOM

Hey all,

An idea which I would like some help on please. Thanks in advance.

I saw the betonmarkets site and they seem to offer user selectable dates on Binary bets which can be long dated from over 1 week to months.
This is far greater than any other binary bet provider, who mostly offer daily and at maximum 1 week binary bets.

I ask as with longer dated bets you have the time factor in your favour for your selected trade to reach profitability. For example there 'one touch' bet (where I think you expect your selected bet to touch at least once your selected target) if long dated could be set for one month out from trade date.
As some markets on average are rarely static you can expect that target to get hit over the longer dated period.
Trying some example quotes on BOM, (index at 5840) to touch 5750 over next 30 days indicates 32% return.

Comments welcome.

BTW - BOM seem to be the only one offering there long dated bets, if anybody knows others I would appreciate it. I dont trade yet but have some thoughts in mind.

TTFN.

Picking no touch, one touch, barrier range bets is not as easy as it first seems.
Also these bets are known as Exotic Options.

You can trade these at www.refcospot.com but the return doesn't seem as good as on BOM.

Hi ak 2004 - if its of any interest I've been trrading "long" dated expiry bets on BOM for about the last 2 and a half years generally expires between 8 days and 18days on all indicies - I don't do FX.

Very useful info from adrianallen99 for those using BOM for FX to know about refcospot.com site - I just wish that there was a competitor to BOM doing similar stuff on indicies. Does anybody know of one?

Regards to all.

Thanks guys, esp adrianallen99 regarding refco - as they are very reputable compared to the smaller outfits - and they do touch bets - however FX only.
I have really only looked at indices - and FTSE in particular, although know that the FX markets are far bigger and profitable - if one knows what they are doing !! - so that probsbly doesnt mean me.
With regards to strat. I have a simple one - as always currently only a theory.
Basically, I have analysed movements over 5/10../50 days (compared to today) and note the (correction - if one occurs), or change in price that subsequently occurs. I only use those which has a low risk element - for 20 times that 3% mvmt, caused 18 times to correct by 1% and over 20 days.

Interested regarding why you say picking the closing prices is difficult - would appreciate any feedback - I know theory works but in practice never the same.

Ta in advance.

Should have replied with my other one - sorry Baldwreck - new at this forum stuff.
Hows the trading going - 2.5 years, so must be making some money. - successful - hopefully.
I am looking to do something similar FTSE only, and long dated one touch - as hoping volatile nature of indices will cause a touch.
Additionally,I have read some bad reviews about BOM (on their forums) - standard stuff regarding making it difficult for successful traders, and problems withdrawing funds - how is your experiance of BOM.

Ta again.

No problem ak2004 - yes making money - though not serious money yet - can't claim to make the phenomenal returns others do - my financial model aims to produce returns of 60% - 80% per annum and I'm about on track.

At present there seems to be a lack of volatility in most of the worlds stock markets. I "trade" all 7 indices that are available on BOM.

I have had few problems with BOM, yes occasionally you can't trade when you want to and once or twice its taken 24 hours for a winning bet to be paid out. My main beef is their poor communications with their customers - the support people are very helpful but I form the impression they are not very well backed up and often have to fire-fight.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
