This thread isn't about expressing opinions.

It was started to trash someone and you, amongst others expressed delight at the thought of engaging in such a discussion.

The same people will next week be wondering why T2W doesn't have more mature trading discussion.

As for how I appear to you and people that use my products - that is such a lame attempt to bring my business into this discussion, I don't even know where to start with it. It's not even worth a 'nice try'

You can't expect T2W to step up whilst at the same time acting like a bunch of kiddies. I'm a guilty as anyone else of this too but I think it's time for the members to either stop ganging up on people and creating 30 page character assassinations OR stop whining about the crap it attracts.

It's been done. I say it's time to move on. It has ceased to be funny. If you have a valid opinion on Alan, then why not discuss it in a mature manner? Not jump on a simple linked in invite as if it's the slut down the street banging the milkman again.

Firstly you need to lighten up.
My first post was mainly in jest. Yes I dont like what AR does, but do you really think Id spend too much time on him.
Cant believe you have a go at me for trying to bring you into it,when you tried to bring Mr Charts into it,talk about take someone with you!!!
I will always go for anyone who I believe are simply taking advantage. Have I ever really had a go at you,no,Ive asked questions, but as Im not sure as to your software's ability and at least think it has some value,I have no real reason to attack you.

Anyway,I need to do some posting on Linkedin,so as you say lests move on

WTF!!

I am wary of differing behaviours on differing sites.
At no point was I trashing anyone.
Nor are my intentions to do so.

So let me get this right.

You started this thread because you really couldn't decide whether or not to accept a linked-in invite?

As opposed to just another poke at Alan Rich - someone that is an easy-peasy target?

I bet you thought it would be great - just put a sniff of info out there, then gradually let out that it was Alan and watch everyone dig in at him.

The question is - why is it fun? Why ask T2W to raise the bar and then simultaneously lower it?

clearly, you have never read Trendies posts. He is never like that was genuinely starting a discussion,it was myself and others that changed the tone. You really need to take a step back and stop looking for things that arent there

I can decide - I was interested in how others deal with having disparate interests.
(as an example, I am interested in ESP, paranormal stuff, etc, but wouldn't link to such groups on a "professional" website where my profile is as an IT specialist. I would join such groups in a compartmentalised way through different IDs)

It was not a dig at Alan - I was thinking through the interconnections of Alans connections. There is a difference between connecting with an IT Manager or Oracle developer (where the bar is fairly high), as opposed to connecting with wannabe traders. (where the bar is not as high)

I have not described anything as fun - certainly not having a go at anyone.
My focus was different ways we behave dependent on the context.
T2W is lulzy, LinkedIn is not.
And being associated with groups that may impact a particular profile.

In a peculiar sort of way, you have confirmed my observations about conduct.

EDIT: oh crap! I'll be writing about ability and merit next.

But why is he an easy target, because he was flogging a moving average and HA candles as a trading system, because he claimed people were queued round the block when he released his new system?

He's only reaping what he sowed and deserves zero sympathy.

Jesus - where have you been?

Got a job innit. Big company so I'm monitored now. Used to be given free reign as long as clients were happy. Portfolio is double the size now though so I've got work to do. Chartered now innit. The dogs.

Also I've been in Thailand and I told Pete I would meet him out there but the missus wouldn't let me go back to Bangkok after all the brasses were all over me so its a bit awkward.

Might start pooping back to t2w at weekends. Thinking about starting trading. Med/long term though.
