I wonder how many copycat skirmishes there are now going to be. It got me thinking that a dedicated suicide bomber could get close enough to Cameron or anyone else for that matter and S01 would be able to do feck all about it.

And then I thought, what about drones? You can pick up a half decent one for as little as £250. Strap on a detonator and a dab of Semtex and nobody's going ta be able to do a damn thing to defend themselves.

Corollary: The only way those in positions of power and therefore at potential threat from terrorists are going to be able to defend themselves is to go everywhere by drone. The sight of Cameron, Miliband, Clegg et all gently whirring they way across the Thames to work has a very Ealing feel about it.
