Javascript windows not opening

I'm not sure why, but windows which require javascript to run have stopped working.

I have tried obvious things like checking that pop up blockers are switched off and that the internet options enable javascript etc, but still no joy-I just get an error message in the toolbar on the bottom left hand side of the screen.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Thanks

Max

Thanks Markus

I tried that but still no luck. I get the following error message:

Line:1164
Char:3
Error: No such interface supported
Code:0

All very strange-I guess I might have to reinstall IE to resolve this.

Thanks anyhow!

Max,

I had similar problems: The javascript window opened perfectly when using FireFox, but I had problems with IE.

I installed this java-fix and it worked:
http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/javavm.html

Good luck,

Markus

I am experiencing exactly the same problem, but only in Firefox. My IE works perfectly, but runs slower than Firefox, so I would prefer it if I could get Firefox to run properly again.

I tried the fix that Marcus suggested, but this did not help. If anyone has any better ideas to resolve this issue, I would love to hear from you.

Check your Firefox preferences. And be aware that Javascript and Java are not the same thing.
