Hello

my PC uses Microsoft VM and I also have sun java installed.
Can anyone recommend how I should have these set (ticked or unticked) in tools - Internet options - advanced in order to ensure a smooth running PC?

Check Sun as default. If anything needs M$VM it will find it.

I'm using IE 6.0.2800... under Win XP Pro and I also have Sun's JRE installed - version JRE 1.4.2_03
I've basically disabled MS's VM. Have no problems - applets etc. work just fine and IE or XP not complain.

My settings are as follows:
Under the Advanced tab, go about half way down (as seen by vertical scroll bar) and you'll see the Sun's cup of java icon with text "Java (Sun)".
I've got the only option "Use Java 2 v1.4.2_03 ..." ticked.
The next feature "Microsoft VM" has three options - all of which I've got as blank (not ticked).

Downloading the latest version of Internet Explorer 6 seems to have done the trick!
