java problem

advfn/java problem

hi all
can anyone offer a solution for this java problem on ADVFN
it reads
"java.lang.classnotfoundxception:com.advfn loader.control applet.class"
I tried downloading an attachment sent by ADVFN but it was no good.
all help appreciated.

i think --- try closing all other windows/apps and then do it

I had problems using java with IB after a clean install. Try unin- and reinstall it. It seems to have cured mine.

forgive me for my ignorance.
i'm looking at my control panel, I can see the java icon. however it isn't offering a choice to un-install it.

any suggestions.

Click on Control Panel and select "Add Remove Programs" find java and uninstall it. The re-install afterwards.
