Is there a guide on how to build a simple spreadsheet to trade in excel??

I was wondering if there was some kind of guide on how to build simple indicators into excel using some kind of API. I'm not much good at coding so I wouldn't know where to start. I'm sorry if this question is a bit vague basically I want to create an excel spreadsheet where I can program, backtest and optimize strategies.

I'm sure there would be some made out there but why do all this especially if you are not that good at coding?

Seems like a long road to go down for little reward or value. You would be better of spending the time forward trading as there is no point in looking backwards when it comes to trading.

Ignorance of what is under the hood of a car doesn't affect your driving skills at all. The guy has an idea of how to make his trading better, and the tool he needs is avaliable in the internet. But I would recommend to hire some coder from freelancer to ensure all your ideas would be implemented in software..

Tbh you're better off having a play around with Ninja Trader to begin with.

Certainly wouldn't look at anyone on freelancer unless they had a specialism in this sort of thing (ie excel vba + TA + portfolio optimisation).
