Legacy of the wars...

I'd like to see the army march on Parliament and kick all the corrupt career politicians out and call new elections.

We are making our streets much more dangerous than any other time - from yobs and future revenge attacks.

So when they get the Bomb ( and they will ) and when they demand that we convert ( and they will ) will you be the first to prostrate yourself towards the grave of a murdering, paedo?

assuming of course you don't already do that.

DD you have trully lost the plot.

Your head is full of rubbish to come out with something so obtuse in response to two pieces of fact.

I fear there is no hope for you.

So is this what the war is about.

1. To stop them from getting a bomb?
2. To prevent them from demanding we conver to becoming a muslim?

Fruit cake comes to mind...

So what is your take on the two pieces of news?

Do you think it will prevent your two great fears?

You really think a military coup is the answer? That is, I'm afraid, just crazy.

Well it may seem that way but what other options are there?

Politicians decide on their own salaries, pensions and expenses.

Who sits above politicians?

Judiciary is appointed by MPs?

More recently Scotland Yard commissioner appointed by London Mayor and ex Polictian him self.

Army knows situ on ground and advises they either have resources in terms of hardware and troop numbers or they pull out. But 'P'oliticians says no they have what they need to get on with the job.

There is no exit strategy.

Politicians lying to public stating they are keeping us safe.

If you object to going to fight you get court martialled.

Short of going to the country for an election what other choice is there?

Even then will the politicians change their ways. No we'll just have a new bunch of crooks in place to play games with the bankers.

The whole system needs a good dressing down and I would say the army is the only altruistic national force who is able to do it...

Look at the flat redecoration cost for the Parliament speaker at £45K. What planet are these politicians on??? Apparently, previous thief spent over £150K or something silly. This is crazy and sometimes you need crazy to deal with crazy put matters in perspective.

Wow..... Which examples did you have in your mind before you made an above statement. Turkey, Pakistan, Chile, Spain, Zimbabwe........etc. You lost it didn't you Atilla.

Since you dropped all your democratic credentials and you think that dictatorship ( in whatever form) is the answer to solving current problem; even if you don't realize it yet, you very close to current policies implemented on Afghanistan and Iraq.

No institution, let me repeat ; No institution (not even the NHS) is an altruistic national force. Army not even formed as one. There may be individuals in them that have altruistic motives, but that entirely different issue.

Asking the politicians similar to asking the finance industry, similar to asking the judicial process to regulate them selves and exercise control where self interest and money is concerned is akin to asking a heroin junkie to control his supply.

I was not asking for parliament to be over thrown with the establishment of a junta no! But the our commanders and generals are becoming yes men instead of speaking out for the interest of the country they serve.

The whole system is infested with takers and rewarding failures. I do not have faith the problems will be tackled.

My whole point is that these wars are severely damaging our national interest and politicians lying and stealing.

For example failing to pay back expenses. Even when they have been unable to explain the expense with no receipt. How about false documents about properties they don't even own. How about claiming for mortgage they have paid off years ago. This is pure theft and fraud and no criminal charges have been brought.

Police obviously not up to the task. Who else is there?

How does one seek justice?

Politicians will rather give up their seats which they are unlikely to win anyway and keep the loot.

As for your comments - I understood the politicians to be telling us they are establishing democracy in these countries. You suggesting we are establishing dictatorships... So why is so much pain and grief invested in so many lies and deceit???

I heard that soldiers returning home are disillusioned at islamic funamentalism being allowed to take root in the UK whilst they are sent abroad to Iraq and Afghanistan to fight exactly that. They see their mates killed in war in afghanistan and come home to a political correct system that panders to the same anti democratic beliefs they are sent to maybe die fighting against.
Can't blame em really.
Maybe they'll march on parliament over that.

Do you believe that troops are being sent to the middle east to fight for democracy?
