Iran War and the Impact on Oil

Trump talks as if NATO is his personal power toy to exercise as he wills. Calling NATO members cowards for not joining in this illegal war, attacking another country which posed no risk and nor did it attack any other countries. Everytime he opens his mouth I am totally astounded by the stupidity of this red neck.

US has been interfering in Iranian democracy since 1953, by overthrowing the very good and true leader of Iran, Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh and replacing with the late Shah Reza Pahlavi until 1979.

This freaking stupid and dumb orange baby has no concept of anything outside of his own delusion.

Can anyone imagine, if coupled with US military power, this orange nut has NATO power on his finger tips as well. This is not much different to Nethanyanu attacking other countries knowing it has the US by the short and curlies. Hence we see genocidal and war mongering nutters taking the world into death and destruction and hardship to the whole global economy.

Dare we mention Greenland and his tariffs as well. Orange baby is a wreck. Quicker he is replaced along with Nethanyanu the better for everyone.

Good Post and listening to Western media there are no mention of Israeli or Iranian attacks on each others nuclear strikes.

All very strange but I hope this does not open the door for Israel to use their nukes.

I have a feeling Iran will respond in kind somehow with what plutonium they have.

This illegal war is becoming awfully close to nuclear war.

The Brent Crude chart below is a monthly view. Given Trump's utterly insane '48 hours to capitulate' threat to Iran and the latter's counter threats, I think we can expect the market to gap up when it opens tonight. Fingers crossed there are enough level headed people in the White House to prevent Trump from following through - so that the world can breathe a collective sigh of relief. Given that this conflict is waaaaaaaay more serious than the start of the Ukrain war, I confess I'm perplexed as to why Brent Crude hasn't blasted through the $140.00 high from 2022. Tomorrow could at least see it tested and if the U.S. does follow through on its threat (because there's no way that Iran will open up the Strait of Hormuz), then we can expect price to go balistic. No joy to be had in that at all, as it will almost certainly mean the destruction of the global economy and, quite possibly, the onset of WW3. Depressingly, some commentators - even on MSM - say it's already begun. If you're a wo/man of faith, now is the time to pray to your god to intervene before it's too late. And if you're a U.S. citizen, it's time to invoke section 4 of the 25th Amendment, as your President is clearly no longer of sound mind.

Trump is looking for a way out and after last nights attacks near Israel's nuclear facilities which they should be able to read the tit-for-tat tea leaves by now. That was after Israel attacked Iran's Natanz nuclear site.

Apparently, Egypt and Qatar are involved in some mediation.

The orange baby with the dirty dipers has come up with a sort of wish list with 6 terms. Iran apparently has already rejected these terms in the past as they are pretty poor like no nuclear developement, no missiles so they are left naked for Israel to have their way. I mean like, let's be fair ref, doesn't get a look in Trump's wet dreams.

However, one positive out of these defunct terms is some kind of communication going on in the background. It is a positive much like clutching at straws.

I reckon key difficulty in negotiations is for all sides to walk away claiming they won the war whilst the rest of the World, we have all lost. Big corporations still make mega profits and consumers all over the place lose out. It is such a sick world.

I've heard some peeps say no bother if all the energy plants are taken out, it just means bigger contracts to rectify them and bigger profits. Especially for those who have oil aka Russia. Very bad for Ukraine.

US of A, much like when they attacked Iraq, and then realising one third of the country is Shia and thus strengthening Iran in the area have shot them selves in the foot again. So now we have Ukraine, the ME, soon Cuba (and I have no idea why Cuba of all places. What have they done other than being a small country who prefered socialism to capitalism).

As for Israel, well the zionists with their tiny minds and big deep pockets can continue shit stirring in the region with their expansion plans. Other people are now likening the Jewish settlers, subjecting the Paletinians to the same sort of treatment as they received from Hitler. Gangs of settlers have been raiding Palestinian homes, burning their properties, stealing their sheep and threatening to take their children away. Israel does absolutley nothing to stop them. In fact gives them military support in case Palestinians fight back. It really is a vile conduct and behaviour. When I hear the word antisemitimatism from Jews in their defence, it's time to bring out the sick buckets.

The only solution for Israel is a two state as agreed by the UN some years back, but that's all been swept away in their lust and glory for more power and land. Very sad.

US also backing off somewhat as clearly Russia and China, so it is said, has stepped into the picture by aiding Iran.

Analysts say the US thinks it can claim all global resources for it self and exclude Russia and China. However, tables are turning and Iran is no Venezuela. In fact Iran never attacked any country. Those turban heads speak a lot but were more of a threat to their own populace than other nations.

When the dust settles, I wonder what people will speak of Trump and Nethanyanu, much like Bliar. Glory boys indeed. 👹👹👹

. . . If you're a wo/man of faith, now is the time to pray to your god to intervene before it's too late. And if you're a U.S. citizen, it's time to invoke section 4 of the 25th Amendment, as your President is clearly no longer of sound mind.
Well folks, it appears your prayers did the trick. Either that, or Trump was motivated by more pragmatic considerations to postpone his threat against Iran - such as saying anything to arrest the upward trajectory in oil price and to give U.S. ground forces more time to get to the gulf. The latter will be in place in the next day or so, and my understanding is that Trump has cancelled two weekend engagements at (or near) his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida - presumably because there are more pressing issues to attend to at the White House? Military commentators I follow all say that he's likely planning to put 'boots on the ground' in an operation that could begin after markets close tomorrow (Friday 27th). Clearly, talks with Iran are going nowhere, so the prospect of moving up the escalation ladder this weekend - or soon afterwards - looks increasingly likely. There's a significant move upwards in the price of Brent Crude today which I expect to continue further unless there is material change on the ground and/or a credible Iranian spokesperson endorses Trump's comments about progress in negotiations. Don't hold your breathe on that front!

Regarding the Brent Crude trade: stick with it, there's no reason to close it. If you bailed or were stopped out when price tanked last Monday, get back in now!

For the more conservative among you that might not be comfortable with the volatility that might be unleashed - go long gold instead.
Broadly speaking, from a trading perspective, this is panning out more or less as as I envisaged. However, the exception that proves the rule is my closing comment that I've quoted from my opening post. Gold has not played ball on two fronts. Needless to say, it's tanked rather than rising and the volatility has been insane. So, guilty as charged - I got that wrong! Rather, I got the timing wrong, as rest assured gold will rise. The time will come when gold will rebound strongly: use your favourite TA techniques and indicators to inform you when the down trend has halted and go long. Gold will rise strongly because it always does following an oil crisis. I'll pass over to Felix in the video below to explain why that is. Enjoy . . .

The next video below is, arguably, a better (i.e. clearer) explanation of the market structure that Felix outlines but, it's AI generated. It's Stanley Druckenmiller's face and voice - but it's not him. So, if you object in principle (understandable) to such YouTube channels - skip this.

Petrodollar More Important Than Ambition: Qatar Calls for Coexistence with Iran

The interview below with Stanislav Krapivnik by 'The Duran' is really alarming. He's just one person, but he's an expert in the oil and gas industry, so his opinion warrants serious consideration, IMO. In a nutshell, he's saying we're akin to the scene in the film 'Titanic' when the ship has struck the iceberg, but the band keeps playing and the passengers keep dancing, unaware of the freezing watery grave that soon awaits them. If what he says is even half true then, here in Europe, we are weeks away from severe fuel shortages and rationing. And, when winter arrives, food will be in short supply and too expensive, especially for those already struggling with too much month left at the end of the money. When a lot of people get cold and hungry - they get angry. Very angry. The 'Coalition of the Willing' need to switch their support for Ukraine to their utter and complete condemnation for Israel and the U.S. and apply any and every measure they can come up with to force them to stop this pointless war - even if it means giving in to all of Iran's demands.

I fear the corporations that fund our democracies are rubbing their hands with glee. Whether in the US or UK oil companies along with weapons' manufacturers stand to make HUGE profits. Leading U.S. oil producers include Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum (Oxy), and EOG Resources all stand to make mega profits. Similarly, weapons producers such as Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing profits will be bolstered by surging revenues from global conflicts including BAE Systems (UK).

Human suffering is neither here or there for them. They will benefit tremendously from inflation.

We will see a huge re-distribution of wealth from fixed income earners and the public sector, to these corporations and producers.

As for the politics, I doubt corporations care for that either as long as their income streams keep coming in. I don't have any weapon producers in my portfolio but some part of me regrets not investing in RRoyce and BAES.

As for Israel, we are hearing less and less from them other than their land grab from Lebanon.

Some people are waking up to a Zionist and Evangelical deep state in the US Government, taking their foreign policy to fight Israel's expansion war.

As before the general convention in three stages is in Israel is: 1- Depopulate the area, 2- Take control of it stating they need it for defensive purposes 3- populate with their settlers in due course building illegal houses and implement apartheid to the rest. Their settlers have killed over a 1000 of Palestinians burning homes and shooting them. Much like the Brownshirts of Hitler being set loose on Jews and their businesses before WW2.

Because Lebanon is largely Christian, they are a little more sensitive but the same treatment as metted out to Gaza can well fall Lebanon in the absence of some international intervention to restrain the genocidal zionist maniacs.

Apparently the Israeli army are having trouble recruiting and the army is stating that opening another front in Lebanon will severly impact morale and recruitment numbers.

I now feel Trump really has been compromised by Israel. I find it very difficult that contrary to all advice from international partners that US has got her self in to this mess. So many other US presidents and the establishment has managed to avoid attacking Iran and the big question is why Trump, contrary to all his initial beliefs about pulling US marines out of conflict areas has embarked on such a lunacy mission, in such an uncontrolled and foolish way with no objectives, changing objectives without an exit plan.

Can the US army analysts, strategist and central intelligence be sooo unbelievably bad??? Epstain and the State of Israel have done well but I fear the end game will leave a considerable change in the ME not in the interest of the West.

Russia and China have been emboldened and when the US comes to fighting established national state armies, it leaves much to be desired. They have the ability to destroy and not much else. Embarrassing.

Jewish lobby is going to come under considerable pressure too. It'll cost them a lot of $ollars to buy further influence and they may well get routed out when the cost of the war and replacement of arms have to be met out of public spending.

Time will tell.

Also, on the international press, US has lost all credibility. Especially Trump. The word is a deal with Trump is not worth the paper it is written on.

The number of times he has said one thing and did another is just so chop and cut and turn. The word is he doesn't know what his doing half the time but just flying by the seat of his shitty pants.

Same for Israel who bombs and kills leaders and negotiators.

I think JD Vance is the dissenting voice here.

These are the three gringos. Yes men all three of them to Israel's and Zionist foreign policy objectives.
