Is it my imagination, or has there been a plethora of new threads all asking for investment to trade?
Is this just a variation on buying robots?

Yeah, there's a current one going. A bit like that poker player on Dragons' Den a few months back who expected them to "invest" in his poker abilities.
It's the "You've got money so I'm entitled to get some of it" attitude; a mixture of envy and "what's mine is mine and what's yours is ours".
Still what can you expect after 12 years of a pseudo-communist govt in the UK crippling society.
