I can't quite see what it says. Correct me if I'm wrong, did someone bid over a grand for NOTHING?!

As far as I can make out three people purchased 'absolutely nothing' at £1000. Other interesting items on eBay iclude souls for sale and something of interest to many members here - Holy Grails.

Under "Description" it says condition "new", so it's nothing new

You have to see whether they were really paid for, did money exchange hands, was commission charged by Ebay, was it a prank, did the same person bid for something placed on auction by himself/herself, etc.?

Although I think eBay is a good place to find very useful bargains.
