How much?

Don't worry about him.
My guess would be his parents are loaded and put the money up for him, or maybe an inherritence or something. Maybe he said he was a 'trader' because he just played with the market as he doesn't actually have to work.
Maybe he said 'trader' meaning he's a broker or something. It would be very unlikely (although possible and brilliant) if he made all that money himself from genuine trading.

Not to put you off though. Just get involved. Do a bit of reading from books that come highly recommended. Trade when you can on a demo account. Lots of screen watching. If, after a few months you are doing well think about funding a VERY SMALL trading account and trade live with VERY SMALL stakes.

Best advice you'll get is: dont log onto this website ever again if you are serious about trading!
D70,
If this place is so bad - and the content so poor - why don't you post whatever it is that's lacking that you believe new members like Builderman needs? At the very least, tell him where to go and what to do - assuming he is serious about trading. Jumping on the popular bandwagon of dissing the site without offering an alternative - or providing constructive comment about how the content could be improved - isn't helpful to Builderman, T2W or its members.

I'll keep on dreaming!

No need to dream. Just go ahead and do it with a thousand or two. Once you lose that, or actually make it, you would have found the answer you seek. Generally I would recommend the casino because I believe the odds are higher there for most people.

This probably comes as no surprise, but D70's advice was extremely sound. The sooner people stop looking for answers from others, and start looking at charts, and start taking trades, and retrospectively analysing what they did, and how they can improve, the better. Wasting time on a forum does not help. There's nothing wrong with making the odd post, or a bit of banter, or lulz, but spending time seeking answers that are not here is pointless.

Even the very best run trading forums who operate with the best of intentions are detrimental to the development of traders, and it really is that simple. A commercial enterprise such as t2w is funded by the very people who are on the other side of our trades FFS, so its really no accident that they allow promote nonsense and disinformation. The promotion of disinformation is ultimately what pays your salary, surely you can see that ?

As for posting content, when the day comes that the site has a fair policy on getting content removed people may consider it, but until that day comes, I'd predict that there's not a chance.

The really hypocrital aspect of your post is that you are propoactively trying to convince a new member that the exceptionally sound advice that he was given is in fact bad advice, and that rather than doing the right thing, they should actually waste their time staying here simply to further T2W's adgenda. I understand that its your job to promote the site, and I sympathise with the position you are in, but thats just plain hypocitical.

but What's wrong with spending time asking questions etc of people who have been doing this longer than you have? Are you saying nobody here knows the answers? Or that nobody would be willing to share?
You claim to be consistently profitable, dont you?

IMO there's no point explaining to most* cuz no one listens and if they do they break the rules they need to keep and instead of ever trying to do what they need to they wander off to find another system.

*ofc there a few that are worth it but personally I cba trying to figure out which is which

One thing I find unusual about this forum is that the operators taking an active role in, at least attempting to, defining what is 'right' for the subject of interest. Whilst in all other forums I used, the operators tend to take a neutral stance and let the forum members fight it out in determining what the consensus 'right' should be. I am of the view that if the forum operators know the subject matter better than the members, then they really should be engaged in the business they are masters of instead of running a forum. The return on their effort would yield better profits that way.

This is not a criticism of how the forum is run, rather, just pointing out an observation. I reckon, sometimes, trying too hard in making something 'better' can actually be detrimental to success.

If this view is shared by D70, I don't have a problem with it. However, as I said in my post, it would have been helpful if he'd articulated it so that builderman and other subscribers to the thread understood where he's coming from.

As you well know - this is completely untrue. With my official hat on, I can categoriacally assure all members that T2W does not have - and has never had a policy to "promote nonsense and disinformation". On the contrary - the very reverse is true and I'm emplyed to do it. As for my salary, that is paid for by revenue generated from advertisers.

As for posting content, when the day comes that the site has a fair policy on getting content removed people may consider it, but until that day comes, I'd predict that there's not a chance.
It does have a fair policy.

I suggest yo re-read my post as you appear to have read into it all manner of things that I never actually said! I wasn't advising builderman (or other new members) at all. Such advice as there was in my post was directed at D70. Therefore, there's nothing hypocritical about what I said at all. I genuinely want to do what I can to make the content of the site as good as it can be. On that note, I welcome constructive criticism about the content and how to improve it. So - if you've got something positive to say on that front - I'd welcome your views.
Tim.

Trading room

I'm thinking of going multnic soon and starting my own using ripped off materials. I'm thinking Señor_Charts as a handle.

How much you have to pay for a vendor badge?

Sounds good. But may I suggest either Senor Chartos or El Bandito De Las Chartas?
