I used to trade options some years ago and have now decided to start trading the Forex markets. I would appreciate any help re: what people have found most useful for Forex trading and system developoment - Esignal or TradeStation or others - and whether anyone in the UK has found a good, reliable, competitively priced broker. Thanks in advance for the help!

Can't help you with systems as that's really far too specific to you as a person and your personal utility function, meaning what do you want and what price are you willing to pay to get there, but a lot of good stuff on systems is to be found on the various forums here though from which you should definitely be able to synthesize sthg that fits your personality and needs.

Backtesting wise, if that's your cup of tea, you hear the usual, ie Tradestation.com, Wealthlab.com or Metaquotes.net.

Far as brokers go I can't think of a better or fairer broker than Oanda.com.

Only problem they have is that at the moment they don't yet offer account insurance, which I sincerely hope won't be far off.

Good trading :)
