HELP!! I have lost the colour RED on my screen

I am running Windows XP - pro and I have lost the colour RED from my screen.
Have tried a restore point but to no avail.
I think that it happened after playing a game of solitaire.
Your help would be much appreciated, since RED could well prove to be the colour of the day.

Re-seat the cable connection on the back of the monitor, it may have become loose or have a bad contact. Seriously, it worked on mine.
