What a great Holiday this year!
Prince Maxwell & Little Princess Mabel were a joy to spend time with.
They are both nice kind & thoughtful little fellas.
I could not be prouder of my Lil sister & Bro n Law.
They have an addition to the family coming in mid to late January as well.
You should see the size of Cassandra's belly!
I will post up a Pic of them from Halloween.
Those little rascals might not be my own kids but I love them just as if they were.
My father Tom brined the bird overnight & applied a rosemary & thyme seasoning rub this year.
Omg... the most moist tender flavorful turkey I have ever tried.
My bro n law Thomy made up like 3 dozen deviled eggs.
My sister prepared Yukon gold mashed potatoes.
My Mama Barbara made this apple croissant sausage stuffing & homemade lemon cranberry sauce.
My broccoli cheese casserole was a hit.
My dad also whipped up a sweet yam dish.
I left the dinner table very fat dumb & happy this year!
My nana used that broccoli cheese casserole recipe for over 4 decades.
2 packs chopped broccoli
1/3 cup milk
8oz sharp cheddar shredded cheese
1 tsp onion powder
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Steam or boil broccoli until aldenti
Approx 7 to 8 minutes
In a Sauce Pan combine milk cheese soup & onion powder. Bring to a simmer stirring to melt cheese & mix the sauce.
After cooking the broccoli strain & splash with cold water before transferring to casserole dish.
While cheese mix is still warm pour sauce evenly over top of the broccoli florets in the casserole dish.
Lastly coat the top of the casserole with bread crumbs.
Bake at 375 for 30 minutes uncovered.
Easy Peezy
Btw...Don't forget to coat your casserole dish with a little butter before adding your broccoli.
