Obviously gold's got to come down a bit after today. I can't imagine it really dipping back below 1650. With the US downgrade gold may hit 1900 faster than previously thought. Thoughts?

If in doubt trail out. Adjust Stop imo.

I have it perhaps testing 1450 if 1600-1650 doesn't hold.

I think it has to be tested - perhaps must even. Markets do not move in straight lines. This is amazing but I guess panick and fear can do that to a man... :cheesy:

Please whack it down to 1500 so I can fill my already bulging pockets full of more beautiful Gold.

Can't see anything on the horizon that would bring gold down that far atm, if china announces anything gold related this week we could see 1850. I don't like how fast it's going up however, definitely a bubble at the moment but it *has* to reach 2000 before years end.

Good post Martin,

Very touching too. "I don't even know what we were thinking in the first place," said former banker Nathan Collins of Brandon, MS, as he jimmyed open a door to allow a single mother and her five children to move back into their house. "A bunch of people sign a bunch of papers, and now this family has no place to live? That's just plain ludicrous."

The realization that money is nothing more than an elaborate head game seems to have penetrated the entire country: In Wilmington, DE, for instance, a collection agent reportedly broke down in joyful sobs when he informed a woman on the other end of the phone that he had absolutely no reason to harass her anymore, as her Discover Card debt was no longer comprehensible.

Real people and real lives that matter.

We need to change the theory of what capitalism is based on moving away from profits to moral duty and empathy to ones fellow man.

All those bankers instead of owning decrepid dellapitated homes reducing all home prices could be gaining loyal customers as well as increasing market share imho.

Turning adversity to opportunity takes vision and dare.

Most people can't see beyond their noses and only feel what's in their pockets. Sad...

Serious questions:

1) What made you join this trading website Atilla?

2) How much of your trading profits do you give to Charity?

1. NT do you not see the excessive bonus and reware culture for top level management do not in any way correspond to share value increase?

2. Do you not see that a councillor earning £178K gets paid a bonus of £75K for managing the redundancy of staff earning £15K in front line services in these times is simply just plain wrong.

Do you have an opinion other than personalising these issues? I'm getting tired of your stupid questions. I am a 40% tax payer and be happy to pay 50% too probably very soon. You happy or are you forever going to remain a blinkered...

I am getting tired of your stupid, dogmatic and ludicrous misinterpretation and understanding of capitalism. Why do you think this forum is FREE? Is it because Sharky is a decent bloke? Is it thanks to Government? Why do you have an affordable computer? Do you have a mobile phone? A car? A TV?

Don't you see how absurd it is to say that the theory of capitalism needs to be changed to move away from profits? WTF? We already have a system for that, it's called SOCIALISM!

It's hard not to get personal when you continually make inferences or conclusions that do not follow from the premises or evidence. I couldn't care less how much of your money you want to give to the Government, that isn't evidence that you are correct. You are asserting that because you want to give 50% of your money that everyone should. Why not go all the way and support slavery?

Calm down dear - this isn't a commercial...

I believe - We need to change the theory of what capitalism is based on moving away from profits to moral duty and empathy to ones fellow man. [...]Most people (inclusive of NT) can't see beyond their noses and only feel what's in their pockets. Sad...

You daft git. CAPITALISM broke down and Government and tax payers have had to bail them out.

Look here is the big picture. Read carefully.

1. If Banks failed majority of the people who would have lost their money are the wealthy!
2. Poor gits and there aren't that many on social security don't have much money anyway!
3. Quite a few companies would have gone to the wall and many Middle class people would have lost jobs.
4. Shareholders would have lost investments.

THE POINT IS the wealthy bodies would have lost a great deal. The not so well off would have lost very little.

The social low life used to the hard life would have coped far better than the well off.

Do you not see that it is precisely the majoriy working middle class tax payer has bailed out the mega rich bankers, shareholders and elite of society?

Hellllooooooooooo anybody in there????
