Can anybody explain to me the concept of futures??? The main problem being how to establish thier chart codes? For example on ADVFN, the ticker for the FTSE 100 Index Futures - 2004 is ZZ4. I get that the second 'Z' stands for the month, December, and the '4', the year, 2004, so the first 'Z' must stand for the FTSE, right?
Are all chart tickers different for each charting website, so non-universal? And how do I establish Future daily chart codes? Is there a specific letter(s) that is allocated for daily charts, in the same way that each month is allocated a letter?
