Foreign Currency Transfer

I am looking to transfer some money abroad in a foreign currency. The amount is large enough to not go with the awful rate my bank will give me. So I have been looking at these FX brokers such as HIFX for the transfer.

Has anyone used these or can recommend a decent one?

I used Travelex once for just under US$700k, got a reasonable (if not great) spread. As I recall it was about 6 pips.
