It's Sunday evening 22:30 and Finspreads has been open for 30minutes. Their paperwork says that you can trade the forex markets from 22:00 when they open.
But not tonight !
Sadly for some (Finspreads) the market has opened with a big gap down and some people dont want to play ball. Their trade screen is showing 1.4613/1.4616 for eur/usd and looking elsewhere on the internet the eur/usd is trading around 1.4520/1.4523 as of writing.

I am being unfair with my "pull your finger out" comment ? :cheesy:

Happy Trading

That's a serious fault esp if their system is supposed to be automatic, obviously needs manually adjusted?

It's 23:18 and I see they have now closed the forex markets.

Is there anywhere that I can place a bet that they open trading again when the gap is closed ?

:cheesy:

Hi PAINTACE

Did you actually attempt tp place a trade/bet on that quote ?

appology if I've misunderstood your post

I had a trade open that was placed on Friday. The big gap down meant good profit, but unable to take as they were not playing ball.
It's now after after 7am and gladly thay have decided to come out to play. Sadly for them it's raining, price has fell more.

PAINTACE are you saying Finspreads had their price 100points eur/usd higher than market price so as to avoid paying out on short losses? If that's was the case (obviously allegedly) that's wouldn't be right and probablly against FSA rules. They would probablly blame a software error nodoubt?

They failed to offer the new current market price (lower by about 100 pips). This may have been due to computer problems.

Fxscalper, yes they done well. Three cheers for Finspreads.

:) you'd certainly have trouble creating a complete trading strategy based on this type of occurrence but seemed to have paid off well this time! Having said that, package it up, call it 'Super Short Gap Jump 100' and sell it on for $200pm??

Cancel those cheers. They are showing 'Indicative' on the trading platform. They sell price on the screen is 1.4129 and the live price elsewhere is about 1.4065

Finspreads
Charts running one hour behind today again,
All currencies indicative today again,
platform stalling today again,
No one answering the phone today again.

Are these guys serious?!! They put fx on 'indicative' all afternoon and they don't answer the phone! It is astounding. I thought Capital Spreads were the worst SB firm.

This guys are unbelievable. I am going to withdraw my money the minute someone picks up the phone. Astonishing really.

Well, in four years of trading, I have never seen a SB company that locks you out all afternoon and evening and doesn't answer the phone. No SB company is that bad. Even Capital Spreads are much better. Almost any one will do compared to these clowns.

IG are the best in my experience.

Hi guys, I put a limit order in for Cotton today and the high hadn't even reached my order price and my order still got triggered! Also their platform keeps freezing and always Indicative! Very poor customer service IMO, closed the trade nearly 10% down!

I'm still challenging a trade from two weeks ago where it jumped 200 points against me and then the price froze for a minute and a half, while it continued to move on Tradestation, not giving me a chance to exit. I have good evidence in my favour to get a decision for me (eg. screen shots of their chart showing the freeze)

They did not call back as they said they would when I called them. They ignored two emails also. A customer relations type person seems to be on the case now, but i am more than prepared to take it to the FSA. They don't know what I'm like when I'm riled! The only way to get them to sort their act out is for people to challenge stuff like this.

Does anyone know what leverage the FSA have over them?

(Don't think there is such a thing as a fair SB site is there? Heard good things about Futuresbetting though no direct exprience)
